Overview

Holt Public Affairs specializes in reputation management, public acceptance of controversial facilities, relationship building, crisis communications and conflict management.

We work with a wide range of clients in business, industry and government to help them achieve their goals by means of strategic public affairs and communications campaigns...campaigns that deliver their messages persuasively, effectively and with high impact. These campaigns build alliances with key stakeholders who can be motivated to actively support and advocate our campaign goals and objectives.

Building alliances, creating connections, activating third-party advocates and informing and motivating stakeholders...these are the hallmarks of a Holt Public Affairs communications campaign.

Our action-oriented approach has a track record of success spanning over two decades. We are specialists in motivating, persuading and influencing elected officials, regulators, community groups, voters, consumers, neighbors, customers and countless other decision-makers and stakeholders.

Whether the challenge is national, regional or local in scope, we approach any issue like a political campaign. We use tools like market research, stakeholder targeting, grassroots lobbying, and information technology.

Client Successes

Holt Public Affairs & McDonalds launch McRecycle USA

Holt Public Affairs developed an environmental initiative for McDonald's Corporation that had immediate impact and lasting value. Through research and evaluation of public and private environmental programs, HPA identified that only government was creating markets for recycled products. Based on this, we developed a program whereby McDonald's would pledge to dedicate up to $100 million of its annual construction budget for the purchase of products made from recycled materials. McRecycle USA® was launched on Earth Day and McDonald’s received national media exposure and a positive response from government and environmental organizations for its pioneering efforts to create business markets for recycled products.

Market Intelligence

The environmental awareness of the 1960s and 1970s, the environmental activism of the 1980s and 1990s, and the current focus on Global Warming and Green Policies has forced companies to incorporate environmental issues into many of their critical business decisions. From product introduction to branding to facility siting and construction, failure to take environmental issues into account can have a real impact on a company's bottom line. As one of the nation's leading environmental communications firms, Holt Public Affairs can help to identify the stakeholders with the greatest potential to impact your business and develop strategies to work with those stakeholders toward an outcome that meets your goals. We have worked successfully with environmental groups, government officials, local residents, the press and others during controversial and potentially controversial situations.
