Award-winning PR campaign for Viasat History Channel
The ViasatHistory (VH) TV channel has been operating in the CEE region since 2007 but its brand awareness was low before the campaign. Due to tight budget, no ATL support was available to help with the delivery: the message had to reach mainstream media and the core message had to arrive to the potential audience without being changed or losing focus.
Tactics:
• bring the content and the context of the channel outside, to an exclusive place that has / had an impact on history
• demonstrate the authenticity and expert knowledge of the channel on history and thus establish the channel as a leading TV resource on the matter.

Market Intelligence
Hungary is a very interesting and from some aspects unique country. One reason for it is the strange and hard-to-understand and hard-to-learn language. Unfortunately, tha vast majority of Hungarians (especially older target groups) do not speak foreign languages. This is why if someone wants to communicate something in HUngary he/she should speak Hungarian.
As for media landscape, the development of online media is undoubted. One significant aspect is the rate of broadband vs modem internet. Other important media feature is the high popularioty of television. Hungary is the 3rd on the list of the nations watchning TV (with more than 250 minutes per person per day). The importance of social media is rising with more than 2.7 million members of Facebook.
