Unshackle Upstate tells Albany the State it's in
"Tell Albany the state we're in" was the tagline of an integrated marketing communications campaign developed to deliver a hard-hitting message that Upstate needed a break from New York’s antiquated and oppressive laws and taxes.
TC&C launched the multi-media campaign in a weeklong blitz culminating in the state capital where media events were staged to focus attention on the region's loss of jobs and population.
Capital insiders called it one of the most effectively branded advocacy efforts staged in Albany. Widespread media coverage forced the plight of Upstate's languid economy onto Downstate-dominated legislative agendas in a way never before accomplished.
